Matthias “Matti” Schmid has spent much of Sunday’s final round atop the leaderboard at the PGA Championship. And if the 28-year-old is able to lift the Wanamaker Trophy, his longtime girlfriend Nora Worlke will be by his side.
Schmid — a German native who played golf at Louisville — only turned professional back in 2021. And this week at Aronimink Golf Club has been a career-best showing for Schmid who had only made one previous cut in a major.
Worlke is also from Germany, but Schmid does keep the relationship mostly private on social media. Worlke has shared photos from trips over the years with the golfer. She is also at Aronimink, according to her Instagram Story.
