Making the cut at a PGA Championship is an impressive accomplishment no matter who you are, but it gets even more impressive when you’re on the other side of 50. Such was the case for Padraig Harrington, the 2008 PGA champ, who played his way to a weekend tee time despite a 55th birthday coming up in August.
However, Harrington wasn’t just satisfied with playing on Sunday. And the oldest player in the field wound up providing arguably the most electric finishes of the week.

Let’s start on the par-5 16th, where Harrington found the greenside bunker in two. And then did this:
An eagle in front of thousands of Eagles fans. Then after a solid par at the difficult par-3 17th, Paddy flashed some more wedge magic that he’ll probably be happy to tell you all about in his next instructional video:
Finishing in style, indeed. How much would the contenders pay for a 3-3-3 finish later today?
With the flurry, Harrington finished at one under par for the week in what will be his best major finish since a T-4 at the 2021 PGA. Well played, Paddy.
