One of tennis’ most prestigious tournaments is here — but first, the final players must make the cut. Wimbledon qualifying gets underway this week.

Before the 139th annual Wimbledon gets going, a handful of qualifying rounds will first take place at the Community Sports Centre Roehampton. 16 open spots still remain for both the Ladies and Gentlemen, which means competition will be fierce.

Of course, there are still some notable athletes who will be fighting for spots over the coming days, like Katie Volynets, Lulu Sun and Bianca Andreescu on the women’s side, and Matteo Berrettini, Martin Damm and Nishesh Basavareddy on the men’s side.

Be sure to tune in for all the action.
