Roland Garros finalist Flavio Cobolli and semifinalist Jakub Mensik will return to the Team Europe roster for the 2026 Laver Cup, and Alexander Bublik will compete for Team World for the first time.
Each side now has four commitments for the ninth edition of the annual team event, which will be held Sept. 25-27 at the O2 Arena in London.
Team Europe, which will again be captained by Yannik Noah, has World No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz and World No. 3 Alexander Zverev in addition to Cobolli and Mensik. Alcaraz has been sidelined since mid-April with a wrist injury and no timetable has been given for his return.
For Andre Agassi’s Team World, Americans Ben Shelton and Taylor Fritz will participate, along with Australia’s Alex de Minaur. Shelton beat Fritz 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 in the Stuttgart final Sunday.
Each team has two roster spots remaining.

Cobolli has steadily risen to what is now a career-high ranking of No. 10 after making the Roland Garros final in June. Cobolli took Zverev to five sets in Paris. He was with Team Europe last year in San Francisco when it was upset by Team World, losing his only match to Joao Fonseca.
“The Laver Cup is one of the most exciting events in our sport,” said Cobolli. “It was incredible to be part of it last year, and it was my goal to play again this year. To be named to the team and compete for Team Europe is a huge honor. I cannot wait.”

The 20-year-old Mensik powered his way to his first grand slam semifinal in Paris and climbed into the top 20 at World No. 16 for his efforts. His best result of the year was a three-set win over World No. 1 Jannik Sinner in February in Doha, Qatar.
“Flavio and Jakub are having fantastic seasons and have earned their places on the team,” Noah said. “They were both part of Team Europe last year and understand what makes the Laver Cup so special. It’s great to have them back alongside Carlos and Sascha, giving us a strong core of returning players who know each other and understand what it takes to compete as a team.”
Bublik has had some uneven results since reaching the fourth round of the Australian Open in January. He lost in the first round at Roland Garros, and won just one match total in 1000-level tournaments in Rome, Madrid and Miami. He’s unorthodox and has a big serve with a reputation of not taking himself too seriously.
“Alexander is one of the most gifted and unpredictable players in tennis,” said Agassi. “He’s capable of producing shots that very few players would even attempt and can change the momentum of a match in an instant. He’s enjoyed success across all surfaces, which speaks to the quality and versatility of his game. I think he’ll be a great addition to Team World and I’m excited to have him with us in London.”
The rosters are expected to be completed in the coming weeks. Team World has won three of the last four Laver Cups, including the last time the event was held in London in 2022.
