The Laver Cup is going back to California.
The 2027 edition of Roger Federer’s team tennis event will be held at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, the home of the NBA’s Clippers, the Laver Cup announced Wednesday. It will take place Sept. 24-26 and will be the 10th competition between Team Europe and Team World.
This year’s Laver Cup, named in honor of Australian legend Rod Laver, will be at The O2 London from Sept. 25-27. Seven of the current top 11 players from the ATP Tour have already committed, including World No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz and World No. 3 Alexander Zverev. Two roster spots remain open for each team.

The event alternates between a European city and a ‘World’ city every year. San Francisco was the host in 2025, joining Vancouver (2023), Boston (2021) and Chicago (2018) as ‘World’ sites.
“Roger Federer’s vision was to create an event that honored Rod Laver and celebrated the very best of our sport,” said Laver Cup Chairman and TEAM8 CEO Tony Godsick. “From the beginning, we set out to build a team competition unlike anything else in tennis, bringing the world’s best players together as teammates. As we prepare for the 10th edition of the Laver Cup, it’s incredibly rewarding to see how that vision has been embraced by fans, players and partners around the world.”
The Laver Cup blends singles and doubles competition over three days and has seen almost all of the modern-day legends compete, including Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Alcaraz. Andre Agassi will serve as Team World’s captain this year, with Yannick Noah leading Team Europe.

The Intuit Dome hosted the 2026 NBA All-Star Game and will be the site of the 2028 Olympic basketball competition. Los Angeles is also in the midst of hosting World Cup matches and will be the home of next year’s Super Bowl.
“The Laver Cup has quickly become one of the premier events on the tennis calendar, bringing together the best players in the world and creating an atmosphere unlike anything else in the sport,” said Gillian Zucker, CEO of Halo Sports and Entertainment. “We are honored to welcome the Laver Cup to Intuit Dome in 2027 and to host fans from around the world for a week that celebrates competition and the global appeal of the sport. We look forward to showcasing our city, our building, and delivering an unforgettable experience.”
With the Asian swing of the ATP Tour calendar starting after the Laver Cup, the west coast of North America has been a popular destination the last three times Team World has hosted the event as it makes it a shorter trip for players playing in those events.
The Laver Cup sold out San Francisco’s Chase Center for all three days in 2025 when Team World upset Team Europe 15-9. Team Europe leads the series 5-3.
