PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. — It’s Sunday at the 50th Walker Cup.
Saturday has come and gone, and with it the United States leads Great Britain & Ireland 6½-5½ in the biennial competition between some of the best amateurs in the world. GB&I led after morning foursomes but the U.S. stormed back in singles on the afternoon, needing only 6½ of the possible 14 points available on Sunday to retain the Walker Cup, which it has won four straight times.
Cypress Point is ranked No. 1 on Golfweek’s Best list of Classic Courses in the U.S., and Sunday it will once again hosts some of the best amateurs in the world at an incredible venue.
