For the second time this season, an NFL game has been stopped due to inclement weather. The Carolina Panthers and Jacksonville Jaguars were suspended in Jacksonville due to lightning Sunday, just like the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night.

Jags first-round pick Travis Hunter was involved early before the delay, picking up four catches for 22 yards in his NFL debut. A Hunter Long touchdown put Jacksonville up 10-3 before the game was stopped due to the weather.

On Thursday, Dallas and Philadelphia’s game was stopped for over an hour due to the threat of lightning.

The Cowboys and Eagles game was stopped with just under five minutes remaining in the third quarter. The delay clearly had an effect on both teams. Neither team scored again and Philadelphia went on to win 24-20.

Prior to the delay, Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence completed 10 of 14 passes for 84 yards and a touchdown to Long. Travis Etienne Jr. had 28 rushing yards on six carries. Jacksonville is 3-for-6 on third down and converted their only fourth down attempt.

Panthers QB Bryce young was 3-for-6 passing for 16 yards and an interception. Carolina RB Chubba Hubbard had 31 yards rushing on seven carries. Rookie WR Tetairoa McMillan had one catch for 11 yards. Neither defense had recorded a sack and forced only one turnover.
