The chaos around the scheduling of this weekend’s match against Roma is another selection headache for Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi against AC Milan.
This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi will have to balance a number of fixtures in the next week.
There is this evening’s Coppa Italia semifinal second leg against AC Milan.
Then, next weekend, Inter will host Roma in Serie A. That match could be a decisive one in Inter’s title race against Napoli.
And then the following match will be an absolutely huge one for the Nerazzurri. They take on Barcelona in the first leg of a Champions League semifinal tie.
Schedule Chaos Another Selection Headache For Inzaghi Vs AC Milan
Crucial for Simone Inzaghi is getting the balance right in terms of player fitness. He must do what he can to allow players to rest and recover between all these big matches.
And making matters worse is the situation surrounding Inter’s Serie A clash with Roma.
Initially, that match was set to be played on Saturday.
However, Inter will instead host the Giallorossi on Sunday. This postponement is out of respect for the funeral of Pope Francis.
That is a tricky situation for Inzaghi to take into consideration.
And the fact that for much of yesterday, it was uncertain when the match against Roma would even take place, has only made it a tougher problem for the Inter coach.
