The professional golfer put on the iconic Green Jacket for the second time on Sunday, April 12, and to honor his historic achievement, Ryder Cup Europe used a Zombie parody, which was posted on social media. In the video, a choir sings a rendition of “Zombie” by The Cranberries, “He’s in your head…he’s in your head, Rory” on repeat.

McIlroy has become the fourth golfer to win the Masters back-to-back after initially putting on the coveted Green Jacket last year.

“I can’t believe I waited 17 years to get one Green Jacket, and now I get two in a row,” McIlroy said in the iconic Butler Cabin per Fox Sports.

He reflected on his journey this go around, as well as his training, before getting him back on the course.

“I think all of my perseverance at this golf tournament over the years has really started to pay off. It was a tough weekend. I did the bulk of my work on Thursday and Friday, but I’m just so happy to hang in there and get the job done,” he said.

McIlroy is now tied with Phil Mickelson, Nick Faldo, and Lee Trevino at six majors. He is the first person to win back-to-back Masters since Tiger Woods in 2001 and 2002.

When it comes to how many majors he plans to finish his career with, the Irish pro golfer is not exactly sure but wants to add more to his resume.

“I don’t want to put a number on it,” McIlroy said to USA Today, “but I certainly don’t want to stop here.”

McIlroy won his first Masters in a dramatic 2025 playoff against Justin Rose, who also competed in this years’ tournament. He shared that after he won his first Masters it ignited a fight in him.

“Just keep going,” he said. “Just keep your head down and keep going. If you put the (reps) in and work on the right things, eventually, it’ll come good for you.”
