The Miami Dolphins are undergoing a rebuild of epic proportions under the new leadership team of general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan and head coach Jeff Hafley. While the team’s roster already looks much different than it has in recent years, multiple star players from the past regime have still gotten extensions this offseason.
Running back De’Von Achane and center Aaron Brewer both signed big-money deals with the Dolphins recently. Is linebacker Jordyn Brooks next?

Marcel Louis-Jacques thinks so.
In an article released by ESPN on Wednesday, Louis-Jacques predicted Miami’s star linebacker will be the next “pillar” of the organization to receive an extension.
“Brooks has expressed multiple times his interest in remaining with the Dolphins long term, and Miami isn’t exactly flush with extension-eligible players. Despite the massive roster churn over the past several months and the fact that the team drafted a pair of off-ball linebackers, it’s likely Miami reaches an agreement with the NFL’s leading tackler from last season.”
Those words from the ESPN writer should help to ease concerns some fans of the South Florida franchise have when it comes to Brooks’ future with the Dolphins. Of course, we’ve been surprised by moves Miami has made plenty of times before, so never say never, but for now, it looks like Jordyn Brooks’ time in aqua and orange won’t be ending any time soon.
