Rumors have been swirling around a potential UFC vs. PFL super-fight between Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou. And while the likelihood of such a bout taking place is slim to none, Ngannou made sure to spark the flame a little higher on Friday.

Ngannou, a former UFC champion who is now signed to the PFL, made a surprise appearance alongside Kamaru Usman during the weigh-ins for UFC’s event Saturday in Atlanta.

It has been over three years since Ngannou last appeared with the UFC, leaving the promotion after a January 2022 title defense over Ciryl Gane. He finally made his PFL debut in 2024, knocking out Renan Ferreira to claim the PFL Super Fights heavyweight title.

Between his two bouts inside the cage, Ngannou fought twice in the boxing ring. He lost a split decision to Tyson Fury in 2023 and was finished by Anthony Joshua a few months later.

As for Usman, the former UFC champion will square off with Joaquin Buckley Saturday night in the main event. The card is the first to be held in Atlanta since 2019 and will air live on ESPN and stream on ESPN+.
