- Mike Perry to win via decision (+165)
Nate Diaz and Mike Perry are two of the toughest fighters in the sport. Both have had their fair share of wars, and it’s hard to see this fight ending any differently. Perry has had success since his time in the UFC. Outside of a loss to Jake Paul in boxing, Perry has won his last seven fights, including six straight in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC). Meanwhile, Diaz hasn’t been nearly as active in combat sports as Perry.
His last fight in an octagon was his UFC sendoff, a submission victory over Tony Ferguson in 2022. Since then, he’s also lost to Jake Paul in boxing while beating Jorge Masvidal in the same sport, avenging his 2019 “BMF” championship loss to Gamebred in the UFC. Diaz might not have much left in the tank for this fight, and the odds reflect that as he is a +170 underdog on DraftKings. Perry should win this fight, but its a toss-up between KO/TKO/DQ and decision. I’ll go with decision for a value bet at +165 on DK. Its safe to say both these warriors end this fight with their hands up and blood on their faces — pure entertainment before the main event featuring the women’s MMA legends.

Francis Ngannou steps into the octagon again for the first time since his TKO victory over Renan Ferriera in October 2024. He faces a very game Philipe Lins, but without the pedigree of a former UFC heavyweight champion like Ngannou. When “The Predator” left the UFC in 2022, he was at the top of his game, earning a unanimous decision victory over Cyril Gane and was in discussions to face Jon Jones in a future fight. However, forays into boxing and losses to Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua have taken the MMA heavyweight’s eyes off the sport for a while.
Like Rousey and Carano, expect “ring rust” to play a factor here. Ngannou could very well end this fight very quickly with one of his patented knockout punches. However, its also very likely he takes his time and is patient, delivering the knockout in the second round instead. There’s very little value betting Ngannou to win straight up or by KO/TKO/DQ straight up at such heavily juiced odds across sportsbooks. The better value comes from betting on Ngannou to win in the second round at +390 on FanDuel.

The best thing to do here is to either take the over 1.5 rounds at +122 odds at bet365 or bet on the fight to go the distance at +400. At lightweight, the power isn’t the same as the heavyweight division, so if you like Parnasse to win and don’t want to risk the minus odds, take this fight to go to the judges scorecards.

Despaigne didn’t have the longest stint in the UFC back in 2024, but since his departure from the organization, he has gone a perfect 7-0 in the Karate Combat organization and hasn’t lost since October 2024. Despaigne should end this one easily and quickly, which is why the KO in Round 1, even at minus odds, is the best value on this one. It could be good to use as a leg of a parlay as well if you want to pair it up with another bet that you like to get plus odds.
