2022 Wimbledon
In 2022, Alcaraz and Sinner were two young stars when they met for the first time at a major during the Wimbledon Championship Round of 16. Both players were rising in the sport and primed to show that they belonged on the big stage.
Sinner came out on top in that match 6-1, 6-4, 6-7 (8-10), 6-3. While Sinner would go on to lose to Novak Djokovic in the following round, this proved to be one of his first big wins.

2022 U.S. Open
Alcaraz and Sinner met a few months later, still looking for their first Grand Slam when they played in the U.S. Open quarterfinals. Alcaraz was ranked No. 4 in the world at just 19 years old while Sinner was No. 13 at 21 years of age.
This was a five-set match where Sinner took the second and third sets in a tiebreak, but Alcaraz won the final two to win the match. The score ended up as 6-3, 6-7 (7-9), 6-7 (0-7), 7-5, 6-3 as Alcaraz advanced, on his way to his first Grand Slam tournament victory.

2024 French Open
Two years later, Alcaraz and Sinner met in the French Open semifinals, with Sinner coming off his first Grand Slam victory at the Australian Open. Neither player had won the French Open at that point, but after Novak Djokovic withdrew due to injury, it opened up the golden opportunity for both.
This match was also a close five-setter, as Alcaraz won 2-6, 6-3, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3. The Spaniard once again showed his endurance as his major experience was on full display.

2025 French Open
The most notable match was when the two played a classic at Roland Garros in 2025 while representing the previous five major winners. In this match, the first between the two at a major final, Alcaraz came from behind to defeat Sinner in a French Open classic.
Sinner won the first two sets and appeared on his way to his first ever French Open title, but Alcaraz won the last three sets, two of which came in tiebreaks, and that included fending off triple-championship point. The match was extremely tight, as Alcaraz won 4-6, 6-7 (4-7), 6-4, 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (10-2).
