Who will walk out of the United Center on August 16 as the UFC middleweight champion? At UFC 319, Dricus du Plessis defends his title against Khamzat Chimaev.

The unorthodox du Plessis (23-2) has had some of MMA’s best stumped when competing against him, from Israel Adesanya to Robert Whittaker. He rushes in, has intense cardio, and possesses a unique fighting style.

Winner of eleven straight fights, du Plessis looks to add the dangerous Chimaev to his list.

Chimaev (14-0) is known for smothering his opponents in the opening round and finishing them quickly. A freestyle wrestling champion, “Borz” has only fought out of the first round three times in his UFC career. Can his intense style result in gold around his waist?

UFC 319 will also see the octagon debut of Aaron Pico (13-4), a multi-time wrestling champion and former top prospect for Bellator.  The 28-year-old faces Lerone Murphy (16-0-1), ranked sixth in the UFC’s featherweight rankings.

Speaking of Bellator, former contender Michael “Venom” Page (23-3) looks to win two straight against Jared Cannonier (18-8), 2-2 in his last four fights.

Baysangur Susurkaev (9-0) competes in a fight days after earning a contract. Meanwhile, a surging Chase Hooper (16-3-1) faces Alexander Hernandez (16-8), while Bryan Battle (12-2, 1 NC) looks to continue to entertain against Nursulton Ruziboev (36-9-2, 1 NC).

The Sporting News will provide results from the entire UFC 319 fight card.
