The UFC returns to Las Vegas for UFC 313 on March 8. Live on ESPN+ in the U.S., Alex Pereira defends the UFC light heavyweight title against top contender Magomed Ankalaev.

A two-division champion, Pereira (12-2) has fought and beaten everyone the UFC has put in front of him. The Brazilian is one of the most feared fighters to step foot in the octagon thanks to his knockout power.

Ankalaev (19–1–1, 1 NC) also has knockout power and can ragdoll an opponent on the floor. The Russian, ranked number one at light heavyweight, may be the most significant challenge to Pereira in quite some time.

Will the fight remain on the feet or head to the floor? Who will have the edge and hold gold by the end of the night?

Also on the card, Justin Gaethje faces Rafael Fiziev. Gaethje (25-5) was supposed to fight Dan Hooker, who backed out due to injury. He competes for the first time since Max Holloway knocked him out at UFC 300 last April. A former interim UFC lightweight champion, Gaethje is 2-2 in his previous four fights.

Fiziev is on a two-fight losing streak. He faces Gaethje in a rematch from 2023, where Gaethje won via majority decision after landing 103 significant strikes. Can Fiziev get his revenge in this short-notice fight?

The card will also feature favorites like Jalin Turner, King Green, Curtis Blaydes, Joshua Van, Brunno Ferreira, and more.

The Sporting News will provide results, analysis, and highlights from UFC 313.
