The PGA Tour stayed hot this past weekend, following up an unforgettable U.S. Open with another uber-dramatic Sunday finish at the 2025 Travelers Championship.
Keegan Bradley conquered the northeast once again, snatching the lead away from Tommy Fleetwood on the 72nd and final hole to win the Travelers for the second time in three years.
Bradley, the 2025 U.S. Ryder Cup Captain, captured the attention of the sports world with his heroics on the 18th green to the tune of “USA! USA!” chants from a rowdy gallery at TPC River Highlands.
The scene made for one of the PGA Tour’s best TV weekends of the year, too.
CBS reported 3.519 million in average viewership for the final round, according to Josh Carpenter with Sports Business Journal, which is up a whopping 35 percent from a year ago when Scottie Scheffler defeated Tom Kim in a playoff to win the 2024 Travelers.
This year’s number also smashes the TV ratings for the 2023 Travelers, which drew 2.44 million for Bradley’s first win in Connecticut.
According to Carpenter, the Travelers drew the third-most viewers of any non-major tournament this season, behind the Players Championship (3.6 million) and the RBC Heritage (4.36 million).
People weren’t just watching on the weekend, either, as Golf Channel reported a 40 percent uptick in viewership from last year’s Travelers on Thursday and Friday.
