Minten has four points in 15 games with the Maple Leafs and 10 points in 16 games with the Marlies this season.

Mermis suffered a jaw injury in training camp with Toronto and was later placed on waivers and claimed by the Utah HC, he played one game for the team before being placed on waivers again and re-claimed by the Maple Leafs.
The 31-year-old has appeared in 12 games for the Marlies this season and recorded three assists.
The Alton, Ill., native has 75 career NHL games under his belt, including 47 last season with the Minnesota Wild where he notched three goals and eight points.
Defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson left the Maple Leafs game against the Oilers with a lower-body injury and did not return, opening the door for Mermis to potentially make his Maple Leafs debut on their current road trip.
