We’ve made to to Sunday at the final major championship of the year, and it’s Sam Burns who is out in front.

Burns got to 10-under on Saturday night after backing up his 62 with a 5-under 65 in the third round. In total, that’s the lowest consecutive 36-hole stretch in major championship history.

And, most importantly, that gave him a 10-shot lead over the rest of the field. If Burns, who nearly didn’t play this week due to the birth of his daughter, can pull off the win, it’d mark the first major championship title of his career.

Burns will go off alongside Ryan Fox in the final round. Fox also posted a 62 on Saturday, the third such score of the week.

While Burns is out in front, there are several within striking distance — including Bryson DeChambeau. The LIV Golf star, after his chaotic Friday, is entering the final round four back. Top-ranked Scottie Scheffler is six back.

The race for the Claret Jug is on. We’ll see who comes out on top.
