Cameron Young’s birdie putt on the 18th hole at Detroit Golf Club turned left on him, leaving him outside the final grouping on Sunday at the Rocket Classic.
Young, who carried a share of the 36-hole lead after tying the course record with a 61 on Friday, sits three shots back of leader Davis Riley in Motown.

Riley, who hasn’t been in contention in a final round since playing in the last grouping at the year’s first tournament in Hawaii where he finished T-6, has a baby due at the end of August with his wife, Alexandra.
“The Riley clan’s adding one and I couldn’t be more excited,” he said.
“She’s growing a human and trying to get ready for all that,” he added. “I’m thankful for her to go through pregnancy and probably to deal with me on tough days on the golf course is.”
It will be Michael Brennan and Rasmus Højgaard going off with Riley on Sunday’s final grouping (the tee times have been bumped due to inclement weather).

Brennan is one back, while Højgaard is T-3 with Young after shooting 61 of his own to tie the course record on Moving Day.
Riley, who has not bogeyed since Thursday’s opening round, had an incredible birdie on the par-4 17th on his way to a 7-under 63. The last hole he bogeyed at? That same 17th hole.
“It’s been a while since I’ve been in this position,” he said referring to the Sony Open.
“This week I’ve just tried to like, I was just telling myself to play golf, just get lost in the enjoyment of just hitting golf shots, cancel out the noise to the best of my ability,” he added. “I guess to put it into detail is just be in the process with my caddie and just enjoy that process of hitting golf shots. … that brings out the best of me.”

Asked if had a song or an artist he was going to listen on his way over to the course Sunday, Riley’s response evoked some laughs from reporters.
“We know 7 Mile, Eminem,” he gaffed, issuing a correction seconds later.
“8 Mile, OK, there you go,” he said, smiling. “I love Eminem — no lyrics I can think of off the top of my head, but yeah, I do love some Eminem. I may have to blare some Eminem on the way over to the course to kind of get the mojo going around here.”
