Paris Saint-Germain could be looking to add more quality to their midfield this summer. Last summer, the capital club added Joao Neves to a group that already has Vitinha, Warren Zaire-Emery, and Fabian Ruiz.

With a loaded unit, there might be no need to add another player to that group, but it appears PSG wants the midfield to be the heart of their project under manager Luis Enrique, who also isn’t afraid to rotate players to ensure his squad is healthy while competing in three competitions.

As a result, when the summer transfer window opens, there’s already one midfielder reportedly on PSG’s radar.

CaughtOffside reports that several European heavyweights — including Manchester City, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, Bayern Munich, and PSG — are keeping a close eye on Sandro Tonali’s situation.

According to the outlet, Tonali has suggested he might be open to a move away from Newcastle United this summer. The Italian midfielder has made a solid impression since joining from AC Milan, where he had already built a strong reputation.

While Newcastle are said to prefer holding onto Tonali, CaughtOffside notes there’s a belief the club could be willing to entertain offers around the €80 million mark.
