Pro Bowl wide receiver Mike Evans has agreed to a three-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.

Terms of the deal were not initially reported.

The deal official marks a new era for the veteran wideout, who has spent his entire career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Evans, 32, is coming off his first career season with fewer than 1,000 receiving yards, playing just eight games in 2025 due to injury. He missed time with a hamstring strain prior to missing another six weeks on injured reserve with a broken collarbone. His nine games missed marked a career high. He finished the season with 30 catches for 368 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Prior to 2025, Evans had tallied 11 consecutive seasons with 1,000-plus receiving yards, which tied Hall of Famer Jerry Rice’s 11-season streak from 1986-1996. His accolades don’t end there, however; he currently sits with the 10th-most career receiving touchdowns at 108 and the second-most among active players, only behind Rams wideout Davante Adams (117).

The Bucs are looking to rebound after missing the playoffs for the first time since 2019. After the season, the Bucs fired offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard and hired Zac Robinson.

This breaking news story will be updated.
