There’s a reason why FSG initially pursued the multi-club idea. There’s also a reason why Edwards was keen to return to the fold in order to front it.

It’s an important one as the battle for young talent has never been fiercer. Chelsea and Manchester City lead the way in that regard, having long had other clubs to farm talent out to.
