Liverpool have had great success in recent years with their youth and academy players.

Whether it’s developing talents for the first team – like Conor Bradley or Rio Ngumoha – or else preparing them for a career elsewhere, the Reds have got a great formula to maximise potential in their academy jewels.

With Ngumoha established in the first-team picture, there are a few other standout talents in and around the senior ranks.

Some are patiently biding their time – making the most of the opportunities they have to embed themselves with Arne Slot’s Premier League title-winning squad.

Kieran Morrison on the fringes of the Liverpool first team

One such name is Kieran Morrison, a versatile 18-year-old attacker, who has got shades of Mohamed Salah in his game. The left-footer can operate across the attacking line but looks most at home on the right side.

Born in Manchester, Morrison played for the Manchester United youth academy before joining Liverpool at under-14s.

Since then he’s sat on the bench for the first team – away at PSV in the Champions League last season and against Southampton in the EFL Cup at Anfield a few weeks ago – but awaits his senior debut.
