Team Europe has added a Laver Cup veteran to complete its roster for the 2026 edition.
World No. 13 Casper Ruud finishes off captain Yannick Noah’s six-man roster in what will be Ruud’s sixth straight Laver Cup appearance. Ruud joins Alexander Zverev (World No. 2), Carlos Alcaraz (World No. 3), Flavio Cobolli (World No. 9), Jakub Mensik (World No. 17) and Rafael Jodar (World No. 24) to take on Team World from Sept. 25-27 at the O2 in London.
Jodar is the lone new addition from last year’s team that lost to Team World 15-9 in San Francisco. He is replacing Holger Rune.
“Casper is exactly the type of player you want on your team,” Noah said. “He’s a fantastic competitor, a great teammate and someone who really embraces what the Laver Cup is all about. I’m really happy to have him back on Team Europe.”

Ruud has a 4-1 singles record and 2-2 doubles record in Laver Cup competitions, including a doubles win with Carlos Alcaraz last year. Ruud is a three-time Grand Slam finalist whose best result this year was reaching the finals in Rome. In Grand Slam play, he reached the Round of 16 at Australia and Roland Garros, and was upset in the first round at Wimbledon. His five Laver Cup appearances is tied for second with Taylor Fritz, one behind Zverev.
“We came up short last year, so there’s definitely extra motivation to put that right in London,” Ruud said. “Playing at The O2 again, with the British fans creating such a fantastic atmosphere, will make it even more special.”
Andre Agassi’s Team World roster has been set for a month. World No. 6 Alex de Minaur, World No. 8 Ben Shelton, World No. 10 Fritz, World No. 11 Alexander Bublik, World No. 16 Learner Tien and World No. 21 Tommy Paul will try to win for the fourth time in five years. Only de Minaur and Fritz played in San Francisco, with Shelton and Paul withdrawing due to injury.
The combined rankings of the two teams projects to be the best in Laver Cup history. This is the ninth Laver Cup, and it will be played in the arena that hosted its most famous moment. In 2022, Roger Federer, one of the event’s founders, paired with Rafael Nadal in doubles for his final professional appearance. Team Europe holds a 5-3 edge heading into this year’s matchup.
