All-time Los Angeles Lakers legends who shaped the game

Jerry West (#44) played 14 seasons from 1960-1974 with the Lakers and was a force who never left the NBA once he got there, according to USA Today’s Jeff Zillgitt. The Hall of Famer, pictured here in action against the Cincinnati Royals, was remembered for his imprint as a shooting guard and builder of teams. His impact remains visible in today’s NBA and he went on to touch generations of teams and players, including LeBron James, who talked to West about winning and losing.

Doncic and the Lakers will be featured in 34 nationally televised games, which is tied for the most in the NBA. Of the 34 nationally televised games, 18 of those games will be played at home, which is also the most in the league.

The Lakers’ longest road trip will take place from Jan. 28 to Feb. 8, with a seven-game road trip that will include visits to Madison Square Garden to take on the defending NBA champion New York Knicks.

The Lakers will also take on Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs and the Boston Celtics during the trip.

The Lakers also will serve as a host to several teams, having three five-game homestands during the season.

In total, the Lakers will also have three instances where they are playing five games during seven days on three different occasions, which is the most in the league.
