Kyle Busch was conscious but struggling to breath when a call was made to 911 asking for an ambulance to come to the General Motors Charlotte Technical Center in Concord, North Carolina, on Wednesday.
In a call obtained by TMZ, an unidentified male made the call around 5:30 p.m. ET Wednesday, telling the 911 operator that Busch had “shortness of breath, very hot, thinks he’s going to pass out and is producing a little bit of blood — coughing up some blood.”
Busch was at the General Motors facility Wednesday testing in a racing simulator when he became ill, according to the Associated Press, which reported that he was taken to a Charlotte hospital.

Busch, 41, died Thursday, his family announced, shocking the entire racing community.
