Ex-Arsenal player and pundit Ian Wright was among thousands of fans celebrating the Gunners’ first Premier League title in 22 years, joining in the joyous scenes outside the Emirates on Tuesday night.
Manchester City’s failure to beat Bournemouth, instead drawing 1-1, meant Pep Guardiola’s side could mathematically no longer catch league leaders Arsenal and take the title race to the final day, with the gap at four points with one game to go.

The result sparked delirium at the Emirates and across north London, with fans flocking to the stadium to celebrate their first top-flight trophy since the 2004 ‘Invincibles’, setting off flares and fireworks.
Wright, Arsenal’s second-highest goal scorer of all time and a former Premier League winner with the side, was among their numbers, and was mobbed by fans singing his name outside the ground.
Wright told Premier League Productions: “I was absolutely over the moon. I got in the cab, got my Mrs and my girls in the cab and I said, ‘We’re going down there, let’s go down to the Emirates.'”
“It’s amazing, honestly, and this club deserves it. Our fans deserve it all, around the world and everybody, we deserve this, man.”

Arsenal’s players meanwhile gathered at the club’s training ground to watch the City game and see themselves confirmed champions for the 14th time without kicking a ball, with celebrations ensuing.
The Gunners’ excellent campaign – made sweeter by following three successive runners-up finishes – could yet bring more silverware as they face PSG in the Champions League final at the end of this month.
Before then they complete their top-flight season with a dead-rubber visit to Crystal Palace on Sunday, the finale of the Premier League season.
