The Erste Bank Vienna Open begins on Monday, October 21 at the indoor courts of the Wiener Stadhalle in Vienna, Austria.
Former US Open champion Dominic Thiem will bid farewell to the sport after the home tournament. Thiem’s first ATP tour event was the Vienna Open in 2010, when he competed as a 17-year-old qualifier.
World No 3 and 2021 champion Alexander Zverev is the top seed in Vienna this year. Alex de Minaur and Grigor Dimitrov, second and third seeds respectively, are the other big stars competing at the event. However, defending champion Jannik Sinner, who is currently No 1 in the world, will give the tournament a miss this year.
