The 22-time Grand Slam singles champion is set to call time on a trophy-laden professional career that began in 2001.

His last assignment is on home turf as he hopes to win his sixth and Spain’s seventh Davis Cup title. As hosts Spain take on Netherlands in the quarterfinals on Tuesday, Nadal is likely to open proceedings with a singles fixture against Botic van de Zandschulp.

The 2024 Davis Cup Finals is Nadal’s first assignment since the Paris Olympics in August.
