According to Tuttosport, sacking Thiago Motta and his staff at the end of the season would cost Juventus circa €20m.

Sacking Thiago Motta at the end of the current campaign would cost Juventus circa €20m, according to the latest Tuttosport report.

The former Italy international signed a three-year contract last summer, so his deal at the Allianz Stadium expires in June 2027.

How much sacking Motta would cost Juventus

Sports director Cristiano Giuntoli said on Thursday that Motta was not at risk of sacking, but Italian media believe the Bianconeri coach must improve his playing style and relationship with part of the dressing room in the final part of the season.

Juventus President Gianluca Ferrero joined CEO Maurizio Scanavino, Giuntoli and Motta on Thursday for an emergency meeting with the team after a “shameful” Coppa Italia exit against Empoli.

Motta had publicly blamed himself and the players after a defeat on penalties on Wednesday night.

Italian media have already named four potential replacements for Motta for next season, including Antonio Conte and Gian Piero Gasperini.
