Justin Thomas really struggled during the first two rounds of The Memorial Tournament.

However, Thomas did manage to just make the cut on the number at The Memorial after shooting rounds of 74 and 75.

He was one of the last players to finish his round on Friday at Muirfield Village.

The two-time major champion shot a third-round 72 at Muirfield Village, after making three birdies, a bogey, a double bogey and 13 pars.

It was a solid performance from the 33-year-old, especially when taking into account his struggles during the first two rounds of the tournament.

How long it took Justin Thomas to play 18 holes on his own at The Memorial

Justin Thomas played in some of the most difficult circumstances on Friday at The Memorial, so he would have appreciated the calmer conditions on Saturday in Dublin, Ohio.

Given the chance to play on his own, he also would have been able to be 100 percent focused on his game.

And Thomas played his round at a very impressive pace, at face value at least.

Now, obviously there was a 100-minute delay on day three at The Memorial.

He teed off at 8:50 a.m. local time and his round was halted at 11:16 a.m.

Play resumed at 1:00 p.m. local time and he holed out for bogey on the 18th hole at 2:05 p.m.

So taking the rain delay out of the equation, Thomas whizzed around Muirfield Village in just three hours and 31 minutes.

While that is an impressive time to complete 18 holes on the PGA Tour, it is still relatively slow considering the fact that he was playing alone.

Thomas is actually one of the slowest players on the PGA Tour, and he has admitted that himself.

What Justin Thomas has said about his own pace of play

Back at The Players Championship in 2025, Thomas admitted that he needs to work on his pace of play.

I’m on the slow side of players,” he said.

It bothers me, but I’ve talked to many officials about it.

I want to know why I’m slow because obviously the first thing that any slower player thinks is that they’re not slow.

The good thing is that Justin Thomas clearly wants to work on his pace of play.

The fact that he got around Muirfield Village on day three of The Memorial Tournament in just three hours and 31 minutes proves that he is at least making an effort to improve.
