Liverpool in Talks Over Curtis Jones Exit as Fabrizio Romano Confirms Inter Milan Interest

Liverpool’s summer rebuild is gathering pace, with Curtis Jones now emerging as the latest senior figure whose future is under discussion. According to Fabrizio Romano, talks remain active with Inter Milan over a deal that could see the academy graduate leave Anfield on a permanent basis.

The development arrives during a period of major change for Liverpool. Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson were already confirmed as summer departures during the season, while Ibrahima Konate is also set to move on after failing to reach an agreement over a new contract. Arne Slot’s dismissal on 30 May 2026 has added further uncertainty, leaving Liverpool without a manager at a critical stage of their squad planning.

Curtis Jones Transfer Talks Gather Pace

Jones, now 25, is out of contract next summer and has attracted firm interest from Inter Milan. The Serie A champions are understood to have monitored the midfielder in January, when an initial approach failed to develop into a completed deal.

Romano has reported that Inter are now back in the conversation, with Liverpool considering their position as they seek to avoid losing another valuable asset on reduced terms. Inter had hoped to strike a deal worth around €20m, approximately £17.3m, and Jones is believed to be open to the prospect of moving to the San Siro.
