FC Lorient have submitted a bid for OGC Nice midfielder Gabin Bernardeau (20), according to a report from Ouest-France.
Bernardeau joined Nice on a free transfer from formative club Le Mans FC last summer. With the latter, in Ligue 3 (formerly National 1), he racked up 30 league appearances the previous season, scoring three goals and registering eight assists.

However, following his free transfer to the Allianz Riviera last summer, the midfielder managed just eight appearances in all competitions. The France U20 international is therefore looking for game time next season; it is unclear whether it is on offer at Nice.
It is within this context that Lorient have made a bid, according to Ouest-France. Bernardeau could therefore make the journey to the Moustoir, with Les Merlus’ captain last season, Laurent Abergel, making the opposite move.
It was announced by Lorient on Tuesday that his contract had been terminated. He is expected to sign at Nice.
