Two of the top ONE Championship strawweights have agreed to square off against one another in a thrilling mixed martial arts fight.
In a fight announcement exclusive to The Sporting News, it was confirmed that Lee Seung Cheol and Karen Ghazaryan will meet at ONE Fight Night 48. The event takes place October 2 and airs live on Amazon Prime Video in primetime in the United States.
Lee Seung Cheol looking to add to his impressive resume
Nicknamed “The Flash,” the 27-year-old Cheol has reeled off 13 consecutive wins since dropping his debut back in 2020. He is a perfect 6-0 competing under the ONE Championship banner, highlighted by three finishes.
Back in July, Cheol topped Bokang Masunyane via decision at ONE Fight Night 45, adding to a March win over Fabio Henrique at ONE Fight Night 41.
Cheol scored two victories in ONE in 2025 and also went 2-0 in 2024 after signing with the promotion.
Karen Ghazaryan competing for third time in 2026
Ghazaryan, two years younger than his opponent, has split his two ONE fights this year. In June at ONE Fight Night 44, he stopped Hisahi Ezaki after falling to Hiroba Minowa in April.
A native of Armenia, Ghazaryan owns a career record of 6-1.
ONE Fight Night 48 set for October
ONE Fight Night 48 will be held from inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. Shamil Erdogan and Paul Elliott meet in a heavyweight mixed martial arts main event.
Another announced bout will see Luke Lessei and Charlie Guest battle in a featherweight Muay Thai fight.
