We’re rapidly approaching the 2026 NFL Draft, and your Miami Dolphins continue their due diligence when it comes to pre-draft visits with top targets.

On Tuesday, the organization continued those visits — this time with Missouri pass rusher Zion Young. Young — a 22 year old, 6’6” and 262 lb specimen — has reportedly drawn some interest from teams picking in the back half of the first round of the draft, with the Dolphins, who pick at #11 and #30, in the mix.

Lance Zierlein of NFL.com had this to say about Young as a prospect:

“Long, well-built edge rusher with the size, strength and temperament engineered for trench battles at the next level. Young is a fiery alpha who brings immense energy to the field and locker room. He majors in block destruction using base power and aggression to play through opponents. He extends and locks out as an edge-setter and sheds when needed, but his pursuit speed and range are average. He has the power to bull rush or drive through edges, but lacks instincts and variety in his rush approach. His NFL pressure production will lag behind without better go-to moves and counters. Young’s physical tools and rugged demeanor give him a chance to be an instant run-stopping upgrade with average rush.”

Young — who has had some off-field issues, including a DWI arrest in December of 2025 — spent two years at Michigan State before transferring to Missouri for his final two years in college. During his four year collegiate career, he totaled 131 combined tackles, including 28.5 tackles for loss and 11.5 sacks.

After trading Jaelan Phillips last season, parting ways with Bradley Chubb this offseason, and witnessing a down year from Chop Robinson in 2025, the Dolphins could seriously use some help in the pass rusher department. We’ll see if they tap Young as the man to give them some alpha-dog energy once the NFL Draft kicks off on April 23rd.
