We’re back with the results of our most recent survey question for Dallas Cowboys fans. Earlier this week we asked you who would be the Cowboys sack leader in 2026.
This was a good topic to explore as the Cowboys don’t really have a “war daddy” anymore after trading away Micah Parsons to start the 2025 season. Last year, Jadeveon Cloweny led the team in sacks with 8.5 despite only playing in 13 games last year. As of this point, Clowney has not been re-signed.

That opened the door for a new leader in 2026, and you guys chose Donovan Ezeiruaku as the top candidate, with 41% of the vote. Rashan Gary had 21% of the vote and rookie Malachi Lawrence garnered 19%. Ezeiruaku only had two sacks in 2025, but his ability to pressure the QB (36 pressures) and a 28% pass rush win rate suggest that he is primed for a Year 2 jump.
The vet Gary is a logical choice too as he has shown he can get the job done, although he’s bever been a prolific sack artist. And if Lawrence leads the team as a rookie, it hopefully means the Cowboys have found a new “war daddy” on defense.
Bonus question for today, besides the defensive tackles and outside linebackers, who will have the most sacks? DeMarvion Overshown? Caleb Downs? Someone one else? Hit the comments and let us know.
