The undisputed super middleweight title is up for grabs at Allegiant Stadium this weekend. It’s only right that two of boxing’s biggest stars are competing for the prize.
Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford are some of pugilism’s best practitioners, using pistol-light counterpunches and thumping jabs to daze opponents throughout their careers. After years of swirling around each other’s radars, Alvarez, 35, and Crawford, 37, are finally on a collision course with one another.
Alvarez (63-2-2, 39 knockouts) holds all the crown jewels in the super-middleweight class. Crawford (41-0, 31 knockouts) is a two-time undisputed belt winner in his own right, claiming the undisputed junior welterweight title with a vicious knockout of Julius Indongo in 2017 and a undisputed welterweight crown when he cut Errol Spence Jr. down in 2023.
Alvarez and Crawford are titans in the boxing world. Whoever takes home the super middleweight belt will secure bragging rights over one of their generation’s finest talents.
