Five-time major champion Brooks Koepka withdrew from the RBC Canadian Open before Sunday’s final round because of a hand injury.
After Koepka shot a 2-over-par 72 on Saturday, he revealed he could hardly hold his clubs when he was trying to swing.

“I don’t know what it is,” Koepka said. “I’m struggling to grip the club with my ring finger and pinkie finger, so can’t grip it. So the club is kind of just, my fingers would come loose, it was kind of numb. I don’t know what the deal was but hopefully we’ll figure it out.”
He received treatment on his left arm and elbow and said he “felt better the last few holes.” However, his status is now in question for the upcoming U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills, where he won his second Open title in 2018.
Koepka was only two shots off the lead entering Saturday’s third round, but his 72 dropped him all the way down to a tie for 32nd place as the final round began.
