The Atlanta Braves suffered a shutout during Friday’s series opener, dropping game one with the Arizona Diamondbacks 2-0. It’s a tale as old as time; Chris Sale turns in a terrific start, yet the offense is unable to provide run support. Sale went six innings, allowing just one run on five hits. He recorded nine strikeouts.
Unfortunately, the Braves’ bats were extremely quiet and the team tallied just three hits on the night. The Braves fell to 73-49 but aim to get back in the win column this evening.
