Nashville SC have taken an early lead in Wednesday’s match vs Toronto FC in utterly bizarre fashion.
Out of seemingly nowhere, a serious miscommunication between Toronto FC’s Niklas Dorsch, Alonso Coello and goalkeeper Luka Gavran resulted in the ball deflecting into the back of their own net.

Nashville’s attackers couldn’t believe their luck as they celebrated an unlikely opener inside three minutes played.
As for Toronto, defensive blunders have became a bit of a habit as of late.
In fact, it is the first time in the club’s 20 year history that TFC have scored an own goal in consecutive matches.
After coming into the match two spots outside the playoff places, Toronto will certainly need to break this habit if they want to keep their postseason hopes alive.
