Blades Brown, 19, will be attempting to win the John Deere Classic this week, just like Jordan Spieth did way back in 2013 when he was the same age.
Spieth has gone on to compile a superstar career since then, with 13 PGA Tour wins to his name, including three major championships.

The 32-year-old has really struggled with his game over the past few years, and hasn’t won since April 2022.
However, if Blades Brown was offered Jordan Spieth‘s career up to the age of 32, he would most likely take it.

Spieth has been trying everything to improve his form recently, but nothing seems to be working.
It seems like the Dallas native is suffering from a case of paralysis by analysis.
Meanwhile, Brown is at the very start of his PGA Tour journey, and he will be full of confidence heading into the John Deere Classic this week.
What Blades Brown noticed about Jordan Spieth on the range ahead of the John Deere
Back in 2013, Spieth holed out from off the green to force a playoff with Zach Johnson and David Hearn at TPC Deere Run.

When speaking to Golf Channel, Brown was asked whether he believes he can replicate Spieth’s win at the John Deere Classic as a 19-year-old.
“I got to hit balls next to Jordan Spieth this morning, and he was striping it,“ Brown said.
“I mean, it was really cool.

“And I know the history he’s had at this golf course when he was 19.
“You know, he won for the first time, and when I was walking the golf course yesterday, I went and checked out the chip shot he holed on 18 to force the playoff, and I was like, ‘Man, that’s a hard shot’.
“But, no, I’m really excited for this week.“
Brown certainly has the talent to contend this week in Silvis, Illinois.

He proved that he truly belongs on the PGA Tour back in January when he kept pace with Scottie Scheffler at the American Express for three rounds before struggling to a round of 74 on the final day.
Blades Brown is PGA Tour-ready
The teenager has made 10 cuts from the 16 PGA Tour events that he has played to date.
In those tournaments, he has four top-25s, two top-10s, one top-5, and a third-place finish to his name.
The key for Brown will be to manage his own expectations, while maintaining a quiet belief in his own ability.
Not every young player will come out on the PGA Tour and win as regularly as Jordan Spieth did.
However, Blades Brown has the game and the mentality required to match the 32-year-old’s achievements in the game.
It will be fascinating to see how he progresses as a player over the next few years.
