Tuesday is the ultimate opportunity for NHL fans, with a loaded slate of thrilling matchups that fans eagerly anticipate. The game that sticks out is an all-Canadian matchup between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the scrappy Calgary Flames.

For bettors, this matchup provides a chance to capitalize on some of our recent strong trends, like our 16-12 record on our last 28 picks, our 8-6 record on our last 14 player prop picks and our 15-7 record on our last 22 moneyline picks.

All betting lines are from Bet365 and are subject to change. Hockey is a difficult sport to predict so please gamble responsibly.

Toronto Maple Leafs vs Calgary Flames Best Bets:

  • Flames ML (+125)

  • Under 6.5 goals (-160)

  • Morgan Frost 2+ Shots (-145)

  • Joel Farabee anytime goal (+450)

  • Auston Matthews anytime goal (+105)

The Buds have struggled as of late with losses in six of their last ten games but are starting to build in the right direction after beating the Oilers 4-3 on the road Saturday. The second stop in the four-game road trip is against a Flames team that is playing their hardest to stay in a playoff spot.

More NHL: What Needs To Happen for Calgary Flames’ Dustin Wolf to Win Calder Trophy

It should make for a compelling matchup as the Leafs are 7-2-0 in their last nine road games while the Flames are 12-5-3 in their last 20 home games. Toronto has dominated Calgary in the past with wins in eight of their last ten matchups, including a four-game winning streak. The Flames will look to rewrite history and will hold a slight upper-hand when it comes to goaltending with Calder trophy candidate Dustin Wolf.

The Calgary netminder has a stellar 19-9-2 record with a 2.50 goals against average that should help them stay competitive in this game especially with Joseph Woll repping a 3.12 average in his last ten starts. I do expect Woll to also have a great game following his stellar 45-save performance versus Edmonton on Saturday but it may not be enough to edge out a hungry Flames team.

More NHL: Flyers Deal Farabee, Frost to Contending Flames for Kuzmenko, Pelletier, Draft Picks

Two players that should help Calgary secure the victory is two of their newest acquisitions in Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee. The two former Flyers were recently traded to the Flames last week and have seen mixed results. Frost has shown to be a hardworking puck hound with a goal and seven shots on net through his first two games.

Farabee on the other hand, hasn’t found the same success with no points through the two games and extend his point drought to four games. He’s due for a big game after being slotted on the Flames top line alongside Nazem Kadri and Jonathan Huberdeau, who’ve been heating up with a combined five goals and seven assists in their last seven games.

Maple Leafs' Auston Matthews Gets MVP Chants After Scoring Hat Trick vs. Flames

A Leafs forward that should help prevent his team from being shut out is the captain Auston Matthews. The near-70 goal scorer has gone three games without a goal and makes it a must-bet as he’s scored eight goals in his last nine games versus the Flames.
