The 49ers now have all of their 2025 NFL Draft class locked in.

San Francisco and second-round defensive tackle Alfred Collins have agreed to a four-year, $10.3 million contract with over $9 million in guaranteed money, a league source confirmed to NBC Sports Bay Area’s Jennifer Lee Chan on Wednesday night. ESPN’s Adam Schefter was first to report the news.

The 49ers welcomed their rookie class to the team facility in Santa Clara on Tuesday for training camp, one week before veterans arrive. While San Francisco’s other 10 draftees were under contract entering the start of camp, Collins was the lone 49ers rookie to remain unsigned and did not report — but he also was one of 30 second-round picks around the NFL who have yet to reach agreements with their respective teams.

Collins’ agreement is expected to trigger multiple second-round signings throughout the league, Schefter reported, citing sources, adding that the No. 43 overall pick’s 88-percent guaranteed salary is a big step up from the same draft pick last year.

Reaching a deal with Collins was crucial for the 49ers, who drafted the 23-year-old to help fill some major holes along their defensive line. In five college seasons at Texas, Collins registered just 7.5 sacks but was an ultra-productive player last season, piling up 55 tackles and 5.5 tackles for loss while batting down seven passes at the line of scrimmage.

Collins boldly promised the 49ers they didn’t make a mistake drafting him, and now he’ll get to work proving those words true.
