Real Madrid have beaten Barcelona in securing highly-rated youngster Jan Vila Farre from Espanyol.
The 14-year-old winger has chosen to continue his development at La Fabrica, turning down the opportunity to join La Masia despite strong interest from the Catalan club.

Before becoming the latest La Fabrica signing, the winger began his football journey at Tarrega.
He later joined Gimnastic Manresa, where he enjoyed an impressive spell, scoring 28 goals in 58 appearances and establishing himself as one of the region’s most promising young attackers.
Jan Vila’s move to Espanyol became a reality ahead of the 2023/24 campaign, and he wasted little time making an impact. Playing for Espanyol’s Alevin A side, he found the net 16 times in 26 matches.
His goalscoring consistency continued last season with Espanyol’s Infantil B team, where he registered 15 goals in another 26 appearances.

Vila operates primarily as a traditional right winger, thriving in one-versus-one situations and regularly creating danger through his dribbling ability.
