“Backup quarterback Mac Jones recently praised Stribling’s ability to maintain his speed as the ball approaches, something rookie wide receivers don’t always demonstrate. Stribling said that skill comes from getting plenty of repetitions.
“It’s just been repping it, working on it, being confident, knowing that I can still run full speed and also track the ball in the air,” he said. “It’s just really a confidence thing and also just a rep thing, so I’m comfortable with it.”
Kyle Shanahan to coach 49ers-Titans preseason game
“In addition to answering questions regarding the car accident that led to his absence to start camp, Shanahan said he will be coaching the 49ers’ preseason game against the Tennessee Titans on Thursday, August 13.
“Oh yeah,” Shanahan said. “I’m doing the same stuff, guys. I just try to not come in here every day [the media room].”

Doing stuff like that I’ve kind of taken it a little bit easier on. One thing I haven’t missed anything of is film. I watch every single play with the coaches after, with the players. I have had a few team meetings. Normally, I do it every day, but I do lose a little when I do stuff like that, so I’ve just picked and choosed a little bit more. As far as the film and everything, being out there for all the practice periods of going against each other, those are, to me, the most important things in my job and I’ve been able to do those every day.””

“The concussion stuff was just weird; you feel more emotional and stuff,” Shanahan said. “Don’t take this the wrong way, but I joke with my wife, it feels like you’re in menopause. It’s just different.
“You’re emotional and it’s emotional to get in front of groups. But once you do that and you get past the hard parts of it, it becomes pretty easy and you’ve just got to get back to it and get used to it. The main thing, I thought after my first team meeting, I was like, ‘Perfect, I’m out of the woods, I’m good.’ I felt good most of that day and then it hit me real bad that night. Then the next day, I was, like, ‘Alright, maybe I don’t want to do that every day.’ And that’s kind of how everything has gone in this.”

Once Lenoir secured the ball in his hands, he was off to the races with a 100-yard interception return for a touchdown.
