Where QB Shedeur Sanders goes is one of the biggest storylines heading into Round 1 of Thursday night’s 2025 NFL Draft — and the picture changed at sportsbooks Thursday morning. This is why oddsmakers hate booking the NFL Draft.

For months, it looked like Sanders would be a top-10 pick, but on Wednesday oddmakers reacted to information and betting action and shifted his positional over/under from 8.5 to 21.5 at multiple sportsbooks.

On Thursday morning, the Pittsburgh Steelers — a team with Mason Rudolph currently slotted as the starting QB — became the odds-on favorite at multiple sportsbooks (-145 at BetMGM) to draft Sanders.

The Cleveland Browns (+220), New York Giants (+450) and New Orleans Saints (10-1) have the next-best odds to draft Sanders at BetMGM, followed by the Las Vegas Raiders at 12-1.

The Saints had opened as the favorite at +210 to draft Sanders at BetMGM and were as high as -115 last week; on Monday, New Orleans still was the favorite at +160 before the odds continued to shift as the week went along. Sanders had +105 odds to be drafted by Pittsburgh on Thursday morning, before moving all the way to -145.

The Steelers currently own the 21st pick in Round 1.
