Fresh off a 19-14 loss at Arkansas, the No. 8 Tennessee Volunteers won’t have any time to sulk with a rivalry game against the Florida Gators on tap. A trip to the SEC Championship Game and College Football Playoff are still within reach for the Vols but Josh Heupel’s squad won’t have room for many more missteps along the way. Tennessee is favored by 15.5 points in the latest Week 7 college football odds via SportsLine consensus.

Meanwhile, Ashton Jeanty and the No. 17 Boise State Broncos are 20.5-point favorites over Hawaii as they continue their respective quests for the Heisman Trophy and a spot in the CFP. Which college football trends should you be aware of before you bet on either of those games and what other Week 7 college football lines can you take advantage of? Before locking in any Week 7 college football picks on those games or others, be sure to see the college football betting guide from legendary Vegas handicapper Bruce Marshall.

Top college football predictions for Week 7

One of the top college football picks Marshall is recommending for Week 7: He’s backing No. 7 Alabama (-21.5) to cover against South Carolina as the Tide return home for a noon ET matchup on Saturday. The Crimson Tide were undoubtedly caught off guard when they fell behind early against Vanderbilt and a late charge back into the contest was thwarted by a fourth-quarter Vanderbilt touchdown drive.

However, Alabama won’t be caught off guard again at home against South Carolina. The Gamecocks had a big early-season win over Kentucky but let a big first-half lead against LSU slip away and then got blown out 27-3 by Ole Miss last week. The Rebels sacked South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers six times and Quandarrius Robinson (6.5 TFL and 3.5 sacks) could be a problem for that front.

Marshall is also taking the Over (50.5) in this matchup since 12 of the past 15 Alabama games have cleared the total, including four of five this season. Last week’s game at Vanderbilt hit the Over (53.5) with more than three touchdowns to spare. The Over has also hit in two of South Carolina’s last three contests. See which other picks to make here.
