During preparations for the new Bundesliga season, 1. FC Köln has secured an important contract extension. Jan Thielmann has signed a contract until 2028. The Billy Goats just announced this.
“FC is my club. And Cologne has become my home. After the relegation last year, I consciously decided to stay here and set things right again. Together, we have set ourselves the goal of returning to the Bundesliga. I am very proud of that,” Thielmann is quoted as saying in the club’s press release.
He also spoke about his goals for the next few years in Cologne: “Now I want to take the next step at FC, take on even more responsibility, but also reach another level in terms of my play, so that we can play consistently in the Bundesliga with FC in the coming years.”
