The Yankees have extended a qualifying offer to Juan Soto worth $21.05 million for one year, per multiple reports.

Any player who receives the qualifying offer has until Nov. 19 to decide whether to accept it or reject it. If Soto rejects it, he could still ultimately sign with the Yankees, but if he were to sign anywhere else, New York would receive compensation in the 2025 MLB Draft.

Soto will almost certainly reject the offer as he appears to be headed to landing a long-term super deal with either the Yanks or another team in his first year on the open market.

Soto, who turned 26 on Oct. 25, had another stellar campaign in his first season in New York who traded Michael King, Drew Thorpe, Jhony Brito, Randy Vasquez and Kyle Higashioka to the San Diego Padres for the outfielder last offseason.

In 157 games, Soto finished with 41 home runs, 31 doubles, 109 RBI, 128 runs scored and slashed .288/.419/.569 to give him a .989 OPS. He also had a phenomenal postseason and helped take the Yankees to their first World Series appearance since 2009 by hitting .327 with four home runs, nine RBI, 12 runs scored and a 1.102 OPS.

Soto is expected to land a deal anywhere from 10 to 14 years for $600 million or more.
