WWE stays in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on this Friday — August 28 — for the latest “WWE SmackDown,” following up last week’s big CM Punk vs. Kevin Owens world title match. After that match ended in shenanigans, the plan is to sort out the mess tonight.
Taking from SummerSlam Night 2, WWE is effectively running back its surprise Fatal 4-Way No. 1 contender match from that weekend — but as a triple threat, excluding Sami Zayn. After Zayn’s complete breakdown that cost Owens the win last week, surely he’ll play a part in tonight’s match after being left out once again.

The rest of the lineup is all about the women’s roster. Interim Women’s Champion Chelsea Green is set to return to action after breaking her orbital bone the day after her title win at SummerSlam. She’ll team up with Tiffany Stratton to take on The Irresistible Forces.
Tatum Paxley will make her in-ring debut after her thrilling arrival on the main roster at the end of Charlotte Flair’s match against Jade Cargill weeks ago. First up for Paxley will be Cargill’s henchwoman, Michin. New Women’s U.S. Champion Jacy Jayne will also be in action, taking on former Women’s Tag Team Champion Paige.
